Jan Rieche

Global Head of Renewable Energy & Infrastructure

Jan heads up the global Renewable Energy & Infrastructure practice at Polyglot Group. He has over 10 years of experience in staffing and managing renewable energy, environment, energy efficiency and infrastructure projects. He has an unrivalled network of contacts within the Australian energy and engineering market, having worked with some of the world’s best known renewable energy and infrastructure project developers from Europe, America and Australia.

Being fluent in both German & English, Jan’s cross-cultural profile means he is globally sought after. He has been involved in staffing some of the most important technical and management roles in the Australian renewable energy, carbon and environmental management markets.

Tremendously passionate about renewable energy (both for business and for private usage), Jan founded and managed Spark Club, a Thinktank supporting start-up businesses in the Australian Energy industry (Generation, Storage, Management). Jan’s aim is to continue making Australia more aware of climate change and the importance of utilising renewable, green energy.

Science Student Life Jan is in the process of completing a PhD in political/climate change science. He rejoices in constantly pushing himself.
Hiking Pioneering Passion Jan loves mountaineering and hiking. He has even won the inaugural 50km Oxfam Trailwalker in Perth in 2015 with the Polyglot team!
Dog Animal Lover Jan is passionate about animal welfare and loves taking his dog, Huxley, to work every day.
Globe Career Perks Jan relishes being able to constantly travel for Polyglot. He loves visiting remote project sites, both locally in Australia & world-wide.
